Made in a very limited batch, this 70% dark chocolate bar pairs rich cacao with Colorado-grown Pueblo chile for a warm, balanced finish.

The chocolate comes first, with deep cocoa and caramel notes, followed by roasted chile flavor and a medium heat that builds without overpowering the cacao.

Handcrafted in Boulder, this seasonal release celebrates one of Colorado’s most distinctive ingredients in a bar that feels local, bold, and unmistakably Moksha.

About The Cacao

Oko Caribe

Duarte Province, Dominican Republic

Öko Caribe cacao comes from a network of 165 farmers across Duarte province in the Dominican Republic, a region of fertile clay loam soils and lush tropical rainforest.

Founders Adriano de Jesus Rodriguez and Gualberto Acebey Torrejon bring more than 50 years of combined cacao experience to their centralized fermentation and post-harvest operation near Pimentel. Their careful approach produces consistently well-balanced cacao, with a flavor profile of s'mores, brown sugar, cherry, and black pepper.

Close relationships with farmers are central to their work. Öko Caribe provides technical training in farming practices and organic certification, along with loans for cacao-related expenses and family or community needs. Uncommon Cacao reports more than 90 awards since 2014.

This chocolate is divine. It tastes like velvet feels. I wouldn’t dream of biting into this chocolate. It’s thick and rich and smooth. I let it melt in my mouth. The fact that it has so few ingredients is lovely. Many other chocolates have several added ingredients.

My new favorite chocolate. I'm a big fan of Dandelion and am so grateful to have discovered Moksha. This Philippines single origin bar is rich and earthy, very smooth with almost no bitterness.

We were having so much fun at the party everyone forgot to look at their phones, or take pictures! That’s some seriously great chocolate!! We even had a couple of teenagers at the party who spent over three hours without looking at their phones!

Moksha is by far the best chocolate I’ve found in the US! It’s perfectly balanced—not too sweet, with a rich flavor and exceptional quality.
Their ceremonial paste, featuring six functional mushrooms, is equally amazing and has been especially helpful as I navigate perimenopause. I’ve noticed feeling more energetic and focused when I use it.
I genuinely love every Moksha product I’ve tried and wholeheartedly recommend them to all my friends!

Moksha is hands down the best single-origin chocolate in Boulder. The quality and sourcing really come through in every bar. Everything is incredibly smooth, well-balanced, and thoughtfully made, with a great variety to choose from.

I also love their expanded product line, from ceremonial cacao to unique mushroom-infused chocolates with ingredients like lion’s mane and reishi. If you appreciate truly high-quality chocolate, Moksha is a gem!

I discovered Moksha Chocolate at a chocolate tasting I was invited to. I am not addicted to this chocolate. Gree yo near Switzerland so I am used to excellent chocolate and it is always a struggle for me to find good chocolate but I am sold. I love Moksha Chocolate. My favorite one is the whiskey barrel aged one.

I cannot say enough great things about this experience! I was looking for something unique and different for a team building event that would last about 90 minutes, and this ended up being the PERFECT choice! The space itself is absolutely adorable, and Jen, the chocolatier, was fantastic. We learned how chocolate is made, but it was done in such a fun and engaging way. The chocolate tasting game was definitely one of the highlights and had everyone laughing and participating.

Another huge plus was being able to bring our own drinks, including beer and wine, which made it feel even more relaxed and social. My entire team absolutely loved the experience!

For a small additional fee, we were also able to have everyone choose their favorite chocolate bar to take home, which was such a fun finishing touch.

This was truly one of the best team building ideas I have found. It was unique, interactive, delicious, and the perfect amount of time. If you are looking for something completely different from the typical team outing, I HIGHLY recommend this. Such a fun experience from beginning to end! Thanks, Jen!
