Description

A 70% dark chocolate bar made from wild-harvested Iténez cacao from Bolivia's 2021 harvest, topped with organic bee pollen and made bean to bar at our Boulder factory. A lovely gift for anyone who likes their chocolate a little unexpected.

How it tastes: Soft fruit and gentle earthiness from the Iténez cacao, with the warm, floral sweetness of bee pollen. The pollen goes on as the chocolate sets, so the grains keep a delicate crunch.

What's in it: Cacao nibs, raw sugar, cocoa butter, and organic bee pollen. Organic and non-GMO. Free of dairy, gluten, soy, and nuts. Contains bee pollen, so it isn't vegan. Made in our dedicated Boulder factory.

Size: One 90-gram bar, about three 30-gram servings.

How to enjoy it: Let a square melt slowly to catch the floral notes, or taste it next to our plain Iténez 70% bar to compare. Store it somewhere cool and dry, away from sunlight. Chocolate is sensitive to heat.

About The Cacao

Iténez

Iténez Province, Eastern Bolivia

Iténez cacao grows wild in the forests of Bolivia's eastern lowlands, a region shaped by river plains, dense forest, and fertile alluvial soils. Local harvesters collect it from naturally occurring heirloom trees, so its flavor reflects the forest ecosystem rather than a cultivated farm. Careful fermentation highlights a clean cocoa profile supported by soft fruit and warm sweetness, an elegant, composed flavor for those who enjoy subtle depth without sharp acidity.

This chocolate is divine. It tastes like velvet feels. I wouldn’t dream of biting into this chocolate. It’s thick and rich and smooth. I let it melt in my mouth. The fact that it has so few ingredients is lovely. Many other chocolates have several added ingredients.

Beautiful rich deep buttery dark chocolate with crunchy citrusy orange rounds. This is one of my flavorites.

My new favorite chocolate. I'm a big fan of Dandelion and am so grateful to have discovered Moksha. This Philippines single origin bar is rich and earthy, very smooth with almost no bitterness.

We were having so much fun at the party everyone forgot to look at their phones, or take pictures! That’s some seriously great chocolate!! We even had a couple of teenagers at the party who spent over three hours without looking at their phones!

I was lucky enough to discover Moksha a few years ago and have not let myself be out of stock since. Every variety is exceptional quality from the bars to the powders, and my favorite, the functional squares. They are delicious but also actually work- I swear by the Reishi which has an almost instant effect. The owners are also just really great people and they have earned a loyal customer in me.

Moksha is by far the best chocolate I’ve found in the US! It’s perfectly balanced—not too sweet, with a rich flavor and exceptional quality.

I discovered Moksha Chocolate at a chocolate tasting I was invited to. I am not addicted to this chocolate. Gree yo near Switzerland so I am used to excellent chocolate and it is always a struggle for me to find good chocolate but I am sold. I love Moksha Chocolate. I cannot say enough great things about this experience! I was looking for something unique and different for a team building event that would last about 90 minutes, and this ended up being the PERFECT choice! The space itself is absolutely adorable, and Jen, the chocolatier, was fantastic. We learned how chocolate is made, but it was done in such a fun and engaging way. The chocolate tasting game was definitely one of the highlights and had everyone laughing and participating.

Another huge plus was being able to bring our own drinks, including beer and wine, which made it feel even more relaxed and social. My entire team absolutely loved the experience!

For a small additional fee, we were also able to have everyone choose their favorite chocolate bar to take home, which was such a fun finishing touch.

This was truly one of the best team building ideas I have found. It was unique, interactive, delicious, and the perfect amount of time. If you are looking for something completely different from the typical team outing, I HIGHLY recommend this. Such a fun experience from beginning to end! Thanks, Jen!
