Ceremonial Forest Blend™ is a stone-ground cacao paste made with organic cacao and six functional mushrooms: Reishi, Cordyceps, Lion’s Mane, Chaga, Turkey Tail, and Maitake. This blend is ground continuously for five days, allowing the mushrooms to fully integrate into the whole-bean cacao for a dense, smooth texture and deeper cacao flavor.

Each mushroom brings its own culinary history:

Reishi has been used in Chinese food culture for centuries.
Cordyceps has roots in Tibetan and Chinese traditions.
Lion’s Mane has a long history in East Asian food cultures.

Amazingly delicious chocolate!

I was introduced to Moksha chocolate through a workshop they gave in the community where I live. The workshop was lots of fun. Our group learned about the origin of various kinds of chocolate and we got to taste each variety. That is how I got hooked on Moksha chocolate! It is amazingly rich tasting, creamy and intensely delicious. Since tasing it, I now have to have some every day. So far, my favorites are Reishi and Semuliki. If you love chocolate, I highly recommend Moksha.

Jen hosted a chocolate tasting for a surprise birthday party for my husband, and she was absolutely wonderful! She was knowledgeable, engaging, and brought such fun energy to the event. Jen’s flexibility and warmth made the experience truly special. I highly recommend her if you’re looking for a unique, entertaining, and thoroughly enjoyable event.

I’ve pretty much only really eaten bean to bar single estate plain dark chocolates for the last decade, and have prioritized chocolate shopping as one of my 2 agendas whenever I travel. Little did I know some of the best chocolate I’ve ever had is right near my home!

I’m genuinely blown away by Moksha. It rivals the best chocolate houses in the country and is essentially a one-man operation.

This is some of the smoothest yet most expressive chocolate I’ve ever had. The refinement is super fine (20 microns? 18??) and somehow the process didn’t mute the flavor. Every bar delivers clear and complex notes of the bean and its terroir. How do you get this level of smoothness and not lose the music of the cacao? Pure magic.

Logistics:
If you show up unannounced it may look closed (as it did when I arrived, only finding out after stumbling in that they normally open by appointment). But if the door opens and Michael the owner and roaster is there, you might leave with some of the best chocolate you’ve ever had. Incredible value too—the bars are large.

The Moksha ceremonial cacao paste has been a real game changer for me. I am in the thick of perimenopause, and the symptoms were taking over my body. I have been on hormone replacement for sometime, but it was when I added the Cacao paste to my morning cup of coffee that I noticed steadiness in my mood and emotions. At first, I would find the pods unmelted at the bottom of my coffee cup. I purchased an inexpensive froth wand off of Amazon and it has made a world of difference in the effectiveness of the ceremonial mushrooms.
